Luca conducted research at CBEY under the Regenerative Agriculture Initiative and holds a Master of Environmental Science from the Yale School of the Environment. At YSE, he focused on the science and policy that underpins ecosystem conservation, nature-based solutions, and climate resilience. Prior to starting at the School of the Environment, Luca worked as an environmental educator, conducted research on human-wildlife conflict, and supported multi-stakeholder dialogues at The Forests Dialogue where he continues to coordinate stakeholder engagement around contentious natural resource issues as a senior program associate.

At CBEY, Luca is thrilled to be conducting research alongside Lily Colburn and Kristen Jovanelly - exploring practitioner perspectives on the role and value of integrating agroforestry in New York state’s agricultural lands. Through their project, they aim to better understand how private and government-funded tree planting initiatives can work for farmers and land stewards.
