Lisa Veliz Waweru

Lisa Veliz Waweru is a member of Deloitte’s Sustainability and ESG Services team and assists clients with a broad range of sustainability and ESG (environmental, social, and governance) topics including corporate sustainability and ESG strategy, decarbonization solutions, climate-related financial risk assessments, TCFD alignment, and reporting, and stakeholder engagement. She has over 11 years of experience spanning STEM/sustainability education, utilities/energy, and B2B SaaS products for financial services. She has been focused for the past few years on quantifying the financial impact of climate change on corporate operations and their supply chains.  

Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from UC Berkeley and a Master of Environmental Management and an MBA from Yale. She holds a Certificate from the Global Association of Risk Professionals on Sustainability and Climate Risk and she is the Co-Founder and Steering Committee Chair of Women in Climate Tech.
