Lily Colburn is a Master of Environmental Management Candidate at the Yale School of the Environment specializing in natural climate solutions, food systems, and conservation. At CBEY, Lily is a Regenerative Agriculture Initiative research associate studying the potential of integrating agroforestry systems and large-scale tree planting initiatives. Prior to Yale, Lily worked at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI) in Panama, studying the effects of reduced rainfall on root morphology and nutrient cycling. Lily graduated cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she received a B.A. in English literature and a B.A. in geography.
