Lauren Phipps

Lauren Phipps works to accelerate the transition from a linear to a circular economy. She is a Master of Environmental Management candidate at the Yale School of the Environment focusing on industrial ecology, business and the mechanics of systems change. Lauren is a co-lead of the Business and Environment student learning community and a CBEY 2050 Fellow.

Prior to Yale, Lauren led circular economy strategy, programs and partnerships at GreenBiz as Vice President and Senior Analyst. During her time at GreenBiz, Lauren launched Circularity, the world’s largest circular economy conference, and authored an industry-leading weekly newsletter known for its skeptical yet solutions-oriented voice and systems lens.

Lauren holds bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Analysis and Sociology from Pitzer College. In her free time, she enjoys hiking new trails and cooking new recipes.
