Katherine Escalante
Katherine Escalante is a Master’s of Environmental Management student at the Yale School of the Environment, specializing in Policy Analysis. Coming directly from a role in political communications in the U.S. senate her work focuses on how storytelling, policy and market structures can be leveraged to generate political momentum for durable climate solutions.
Drawing on her academic foundation in Philosophy and Political Science, Katherine is interested in how fashion systems connect to broader themes of identity, culture, hyper consumerism and governance. This background informs her current mission: applying circular economy principles and credible disclosure frameworks to transform fashion and apparel supply chains into more accountable, just systems. She is particularly passionate about reducing information asymmetry and building regenerative models that align corporate incentives with environmental justice and social outcomes.
