John Hite graduated from the master's progrram at the Yale School of the Environment, having worked at the intersection of waste, climate, and petrochemicals policy. In particular, he focused on laws like extended producer responsibility which mobilize private capital and extend holistic sustainable thinking across product value chains to ensure environmentally beneficial management. Building on his prior experience in waste advocacy, John spent one summer working with the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to negotiate and draft novel waste legislation for the upcoming session.
