John Hite.jpg

John Hite is a second-year Masters student at the Yale School of the Environment, working at the intersection of waste, climate, and petrochemicals policy. In particular, he focuses on laws like extended producer responsibility which mobilize private capital and extend holistic sustainable thinking across product value chains to ensure environmentally beneficial management. Building on his prior experience in waste advocacy, John spent this past summer working with the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to negotiate and draft novel waste legislation for the upcoming session.
