Joe is an entrepreneur and consultant focused on clean energy finance. His goal is to make financing for energy efficiency and renewable energy radically accessible, thereby driving tens of billions of dollars into these projects and decarbonizing our energy system.
Joe leads RE Tech's clean energy finance advisory practice, leveraging our expertise in commercial real estate, policy, and financial mechanisms to help organizations navigate the complicatedenergy finance landscape. For over 3 years, Joe ran Rock Creek Consulting, an advisory firm that helps companies and non-profits roll out new clean energy products, services, and strategies to transform the market.
In 2013, he co-founded Sparkfund, a startup that provides "as-a-service" financing for energy technologies. He was previously a consultant in the Climate Change and Sustainability practice at ICF International, where he worked with clients including Fortune 500s, federal agencies, universities, cities, non-profits, and the UN. While at Dartmouth, he helped set up a $1M green revolving fund. He now does free-of-charge work with students to help them on sustainability efforts at their own universities.
