Jeremy Menkhaus

Jeremy is a Senior Associate at Agriculture Capital, supporting the firm’s sustainable food and agriculture investment strategy. Jeremy focuses on financial and strategic analysis for agricultural and related downstream assets and opportunities.

Jeremy began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst in Wells Fargo Securities’ M&A Group in Charlotte, NC, where he focused on advising and representing public and private clients on sellside and buyside transactions. Jeremy then moved to an Associate and subsequent Senior Associate role at Brockway Moran & Partners, a middle-market growth private equity firm, in his hometown of Boca Raton, FL, where he worked both on evaluating and executing potential portfolio company investments, and developing portfolio company growth strategies. He specifically worked with portfolio companies Woodstream Corp., The Winebow Group, Inc. and Crisis Prevention Institute, Inc. and held a seat on Woodstream’s Board of Directors. During his career, Jeremy has advised on or overseen transactions worth more than $2.5 billion in enterprise value.

During graduate school, Jeremy transitioned toward natural resources management and investing, with a keen interest in encouraging, supporting and incentivizing more sustainable, regenerative land management practices. He worked across forestland, rangeland and cropland contexts to develop his views on the social, ecological and economic importance of pragmatic land stewardship practices. This included experiences working as a ranch hand on a grassfed beef operation in Big Piney, WY and a consulting forester in Eastford, CT.

Jeremy lives with his wife, Samantha, in San Francisco and spends his spare time hiking, camping, fly fishing, hunting and generally trying (unsuccessfully) to tire out his bird dog, Koda. He graduated from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business with a BSBA in Finance and a minor in Chinese, and from the Yale School of Management and Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies with an MBA and Master of Forestry.
