Ivana Jemelkova

Ivana Jemelkova is a Managing Director at FTI Consulting, a global business advisory firm, and a member of FTI’s Energy and Natural Resources Practice. Working internationally, she is currently based in Washington, DC.

Ivana advises high-profile clients on complex, multi-jurisdiction policy and communications issues related to new technologies, sustainability, and industry transformation, particularly in energy and transport. Most recently, she helped build a global CEO coalition to accelerate an innovative decarbonization technology and launch the initiative at the World Economic Forum in Davos. She is now working with the group’s 100+ members to engage policy stakeholders, investors, and civil society across priority markets. Their most recent activities include CEO-level engagements at the G20 Summit in Japan, New York Climate Week, the COP Climate Conferences, and a 400+ public-private stakeholder forum held in Beijing, China.

Prior to transferring to the U.S. in 2017, Ivana spent almost a decade in Brussels, where she worked on European Union policy strategies, projects, and campaigns. A Czech national, she holds degrees in European Studies and International Relations from the Charles University in Prague. Her previous professional experience includes the European Commission, the Czech Business Representation to the European Union, the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, and a leading foreign policy think-tank based in Prague. Ivana has completed fellowships with the Clean Energy Leadership Institute (CELI) and Securing America’s Energy Future (SAFE) and is currently pursuing Yale University’s certificate in “Financing and Deploying Clean Energy Projects”.
