Hiromi_Kondo

Hiromi (Romi) is a Master of Environmental Management candidate at the Yale School of the Environment (YSE), specializing in Energy and the Environment. Her deep care for the environment stems from time spent outside as a child in New England and as a young adult in the Mountain West. She began her chapter out west at Colorado College, where she earned a B.A. in Environmental Science with a focus in ecology and math.

After summers spent supporting ecological research, Hiromi felt a draw to the energy sector as a way to directly impact people's lives. She moved on to a role as the Business Manager at CLEER, a clean-energy nonprofit focused on Colorado's western slope, where she managed the organization's systems, supported financial planning and reporting, and jumped in wherever needed to support programming.

Hiromi came to YSE to understand how today's energy systems are evolving and adapting to sustainably meet the energy demands of tomorrow. She is also a member of Forestry Club and a co-lead of the Energy Learning Community, where she encourages community collaboration.
