Master of Environmental Management 2027
Henrique Barbosa

I am a Brazilian biologist committed to fostering a more sustainable and just society. My journey spans scientific research, environmental education, and community engagement, always with the goal of promoting environmental awareness and action. Professionally, I have worked as a Sustainability Analyst at Bayer, where I supported regenerative agriculture initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and event organization. I also served as a Research Consultant at Instituto Igarapé, contributing to the development of a Territorial Risk Tool and leading a pilot environmental assessment project at a State Park in Brazil.

Beyond my professional roles, I volunteer as an advocacy member with A Vida no Cerrado (Life in the Cerrado NGO), amplifying conservation efforts in one of the world’s most threatened ecosystems. I also serve on ICLEI’s Youth Advisory Council, helping bring youth perspectives into global climate governance.

Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s in Environmental Management at the Yale School of the Environment, where I aim to strengthen my expertise in environmental policy, conservation, and governance. My goal is to bridge academia, government, the private sector, and civil society to shape inclusive and effective sustainability and conservation policies in Brazil.
