Haley Lieberman

Haley Lieberman is a climate tech strategist, ecosystem builder, and former startup founder who has spent her career building and scaling solutions for a more sustainable future. With roots in both entrepreneurship and community infrastructure, Haley brings a unique blend of strategic vision, hands-on operational leadership, and deep sector knowledge across climate technology and circular economy models, with a particular focus in the fashion and materials space.

Most recently, Haley served as the founding Director of Marketing and Community at ClimateHaven, a climate-tech incubator in New Haven, where she built the organization’s external partnerships, flagship programming, and communications from the ground up. There, she designed mentorship networks, led strategic sponsor engagement, secured funding from legal and corporate partners, and launched high-impact convenings such as Green Drinks. She also helped early-stage founders gain traction by building pathways to technical and financial milestones, leveraging a robust network of experts, investors, and institutions.

Haley is actively involved with the Yale Center for Business and the Environment (CBEY), where she contributes to Moving the Needle: An Exploration of Sustainable Fashion, a dynamic program focused on the intersection of fashion, environmental impact, policy and culture. Haley supports this work by engaging with faculty, students, and external partners to amplify innovation and deepen dialogue on sustainable fashion systems.

Before joining ClimateHaven, Haley founded and led ShopTomorrows, a venture-backed digital marketplace for trading kidswear and goods between networks and neighborhoods which was acquired in 2023. She also co-founded Treasury Collective, a fashion resale platform for curators. Both ventures tackled overproduction and waste by shifting consumption habits and increasing access to secondhand goods. A frequent speaker and educator, Haley has shared her expertise on sustainable systems, fashion business and innovation and textile science at institutions including Yale and Sacred Heart University, and in media outlets such as Time, WWD, Nasdaq, and Hearst Media.

Haley holds a BA from Bates College and an MFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She is a graduate of Yale’s Women on Boards executive program and serves on the board of the Connecticut Blue Economy Coalition. A born-and-bred New Yorker, Haley now lives in Connecticut with her family where she dances and treasure hunts in her free time.
