Eva (Jiayu)  Wang

Eva Jiayu Wang is a Senior Project Development Analyst at SunPower. She graduated with a Masters of Environment Management from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies in 2017, where she focused on clean energy international development and corporate sustainability. While at Yale, she worked as a research assistant for the Yale Center for Business and the Environment on global energy development challenges. After graduating from Yale in 2017, she took a gap year to travel.   

In summer 2016, Eva worked as a clean energy intern for Tetra Tech - an international consulting firm - on multiple biogas, solar and energy efficiency projects and proposals and in developing countries. In addition, she conducted two papers as a lead author on solar irrigation and clean energy cold storage solutions in emerging markets. Prior to Yale F&ES, Eva worked for Asia Society and the Urban Land Institute on the Pacific Cities Sustainability Initiative as a regional consultant to provide administrative and management support.  

Her experience provides her with in-depth understanding of Pacific Rim’s energy needs and urban development challenges.  Additionally, She has research experience gains through working at ClimateWorks’s NGO -- Global Buildings Performance Network (GBPN).  As a research associate and later a consultant, she worked on GBPN's projects with a focus on data analysis of energy efficiency, renewable energy implementation and policy benchmarking and assisted best practices sharing among China, European regions and Southeast Asian countries.   

Eva graduated from Tongji University, and holds both a BS and a MS Degree in Civil Engineering. During her studies, she served as a visiting scholar in the Architecture School of Carnegie Mellon University.
