Chiara Agnello is a second-year MEM candidate specializing in Climate Change Science and Solutions. She enjoys working at the intersection of climate change, food systems, and public health. Chiara is from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and she lived in Lima, Peru, for almost a decade before coming to New Haven.
Chiara holds a Bachelor of Environmental Engineering from Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola. She has experience in corporate sustainability in Peru, where she worked for the largest national supermarket chain, "Supermercados Peruanos S.A." Her work there focused on developing a culture of sustainability through employee engagement programs and overseeing waste management, recycling, and energy efficiency projects. During the Summer, Chiara was a Health and Sustainability intern at "Ahold Delhaize USA," where she dived into the ESG arena and corporate climate action.
At CBEY, Chiara is one of the students supporting the creation of content for the upcoming "Clean and Equitable Energy Development" online training program.
