Caroline is a circular economy professional focused on helping the packaging industry create truly circular packaging solutions. As the Director of Sustainability at Atlantic Packaging, she works with companies across industries to improve their packaging by reducing material usage and moving to more sustainable materials. She is also involved in policy advocacy to reduce the impact of single-use plastics and harmful packaging. She received her MBA from SOM in 2022, and she also took a variety of courses at YSE. Her sustainability skillset and background includes environmental science, industrial ecology, life cycle assessment, and consumer behavior. Her YSE group was honored to have won the Mochen Liao award for research in industrial ecology in 2022. She also has experience in coalition building and stakeholder management; strategy implementation; change management and communications; and design thinking.

Prior to Yale, Caroline was a consultant at Deloitte Consulting in the public sector practice. While at Deloitte, Caroline also founded a group focusing on improving Deloitte’s sustainability as a firm. Caroline graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a degree in Government. While at Georgetown, Caroline was a founding member of Georgetown University Fossil Free, which won its seven-year campaign to persuade Georgetown to divest its endowment from fossil fuels in 2020. She gave a TEDx talk in 2015 about her experience being arrested in a protest against the Keystone XL Pipeline.

Caroline lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she loves gardening on her balcony and reminding her neighbors about how to recycle properly.
