Carlos Reyes
Carlos Reyes is a Managing Director at Palladium Equity Partners, a US Mid-Market New York-based private equity firm managing $3.3 billion in assets. At Palladium, Carlos leads initiatives within the Sustainable Investment Practice and is a member of the Board at one of the firm's portfolio companies, Paragon, operating in the Energy and Environmental Remediation Services sector.
Before joining Palladium, Carlos was a senior member of the IFC Asset Management Company (AMC), a division of the World Bank's International Finance Corporation. At AMC, he played a key role with the Africa Latin American and Caribbean Fund (ALAC), serving on the investment committee and focusing on a broad range of investments across multiple sectors, as well as in the design of the first even PE Index vehicle at the institution. Additionally, he was a committee member for the China-Mexico Fund, a special purpose fund designed to support Mexico's economic reforms, particularly in the energy and telecommunications sector.
Carlos’s professional experience also includes a seven-year tenure at BP, where he held various executive roles. He began as Gas Commercial Lead for BP Algeria and progressed to Director of BP Energy Financial Services for the Caspian Region and FSU, Strategy Advisor to the CEO, and, in his final two years, Director of BP's M&A Group. In this capacity, he managed numerous transactions across Spain, the Middle East, and the Caspian region.
Carlos earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Barcelona, a master’s degree in International Transactions/Public Policy from George Mason University, and an MBA from Yale University, which was sponsored by the Fundación Rafael del Pino of Spain.
