Carl is first-year graduate student at the Yale School of Environment and an urbanist and advocate from Oslo, Norway. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and constitutional law from Sciences Po Paris, where he graduated with cum laude. His background is at the broad intersection of multilateral climate policy and corporate strategy. While working for JUV Consulting, he developed sustainability strategy for IKEA, Procter and Gamble, VF Europe and others. In the international space, he was a Norwegian Youth Delegate to Pre-COP26 and an observer for Action Solidarité Tiers Monde to COP26. At COP26 he advocated for loss and damage funding to the global south from the Nordic countries. At the Tsai CITY he is the Coordinator for the Planetary Innovation Speaker Series.

Besides his studies, Carl is enthralled by typography, design, urban planning hikes in the Arctic, and architecture.
