Bryan Marquet

Bryan is a veteran of the United State Navy submarine force interested in the intersection of business and sustainability.   After graduating from Purdue University with a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering, he spent the first part of his career developing leadership, management, and operations skills while working as a small-team supervisor on-board a nuclear-powered submarine.  He oversaw teams responsible for radiological controls, safe navigation, and the submarine’s diving systems. Living on the submarine forced him to think about working with finite resources and accounting for the food, water, and air used by each sailor.  He then spent two years giving back to the Navy as a Reserve Officer Training Corps instructor at the University of Texas at Austin where his job was to mentor and teach college students to become future military leaders. 

In Austin, winter storms and hot summers motivated him to consider business for mitigating climate change. He looks forward to more hard work and wants to solve business problems responsibly while giving back to the community around him.
