Brian Directs the Pinchot Institute’s Western Regional Office with programs focusing on improving public engagement and leadership in federal lands policy, developing new markets to advance forest restoration and climate adaptation, creating incentives for private lands conservation, and improving policies to support forest carbon sequestration and storage. Previously, Brian managed a grant making portfolio for the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation providing financial and technical assistance to local governments, land trusts, and watershed organizations restoring the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Brian has a BA from Colby College in Environmental Policy and an MS in Environmental Management from the Johns Hopkins University.
