Brett Williams

Dr. Brett Williams is Principal Advisor for the Clean Transportation Department at the Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE). He is a point person for EV market research, stakeholder engagement, policy analysis, and business development. Many of his activities are carried out in support of California’s $390 million Clean Vehicle Rebate Project, for which he leads transparency and evaluation efforts, as well as for related activities in other states. Brett has an undergraduate degree in Physics / Public Policy Analysis from Pomona College (Claremont CA), a master’s degree in Environment & Development from Cambridge University (UK), and PhD in Transportation Technology & Policy from UC Davis. Previously, Brett was: a researcher for Amory Lovins at the Rocky Mountain Institute, a postdoctoral scholar at UC Berkeley, and an Assistant Adjunct Professor of Public Policy at UCLA.
