Beryl Ajwang
Beryl is formerly a Senior Manager with the EED Advisory, a consulting company on energy and environment in Kenya. She graduated with a Masters in Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies in 2018. Her interests cente around renewable energy and climate change. Prior to joining Yale, she worked as a research analyst with EED Advisory. During that period, she provided technical assistance to the Ministry of Environment in modeling GHG emissions in the energy sector and the abatement potential of renewable energy including biogas for cooking; provided climate change data and intelligence as inputs to capacity development curriculum on current topics such as INDCs, NAMA and climate finance; provided support in developing Renewable Energy Strategy for the African Wildlife Fund; participated in the independent evaluation of the Evidence Base to Catalyse a global market for Clean Cookstoves and Fuels (EBCC), a project funded by United Kingdom Department for International Development(DFID); and supervised household surveys for the development of Turkana county energy. She holds a degree in Environmental and Bio-systems Engineering from the University of Nairobi, Kenya.
