Ayush Acharya
Ayush Acharya graduated from the Master of Environmental Management program focusing in energy and the environment. Before attending Yale, Ayush was working as Project Manager at WindPower Nepal, a renewable energy engineering and consulting company in Nepal, overseeing climate change mitigation and adaptation projects in the energy sector. He also worked as an independent energy consultant at Invest and Infra Nepal, a premier investment and infrastructure consulting company. His work primarily focused on energy transitions in climate vulnerable rural areas, and policy and programs level interventions that complemented Nepal’s long-term energy-sector development strategies. He is a graduate of Tribhuvan University with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Ayush was part of Nepal’s first energy-portfolio project approved by Green Climate Fund B.30, likewise has worked in projects initiated by GGGI, the World Bank, ADB, UNDP and the USAID focusing towards clean energy transitions and improved disaster risk management. In 2020, Ayush presented his work in commercial wind farm citing and sizing at American Wind Energy Association’s CLEANPOWER conference.
