Anna Halawa is an MBA candidate at Yale School of Management. She completed a Bachelor of Commerce in International Management at the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Canada. She worked in Canada’s Parliament and public service, notably assisting the CEO of the Canada Revenue Agency. Anna also has experience in the private sector, having worked in sales operations at Microsoft Canada and in HR analytics at Amazon EU in Luxembourg.
Anna is interested in working at the intersection of technology and social impact and hopes to found a nonprofit in this area. She has always been highly involved in her community with a strong focus on working with youth, from fundraising for the local children’s hospital in Ottawa to organizing the Young Women’s Leadership Launch for high school students in New Haven. She is also an intrepid traveler, having visited 28 countries across Europe, South, Central, and North America, speaks fluent Polish, French, and English, as well as beginner Spanish, and in her spare time enjoys doing Zumba.
