Andres Gonzalez-Lira is a post-doctoral associate at Yale University, with affiliation to Yale's School of Environment. He received his Ph.D. in Business Economics from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business and a BA and MA in Economics at PUC-Chile. His areas of research are Industrial Organization and Environmental and Energy Economics. His research projects span various topics, including implications of promoting inter-firm competition for procurement contracts and the design of environmental enforcement. Furthermore, he is currently working on understanding the market-level effects of new renewable energy technologies, mainly how the recent introduction of residential energy storage technologies (batteries) affects the adoption of other renewable energy investments, e.g., solar panels.
