Amalta Gupta
Amalta Gupta (she/her) holds a Master of Environmental Science from Yale University ('23) and a B.A. in Economics and Environmental Studies from Ashoka University (New Delhi). Amalta is a meticulous researcher passionate about the energy transition in emerging economies. She enjoys learning and formulating innovative solutions to increase clean energy access in underserved communities. She believes that empathetic policy solutions are crucial for a justice-focused energy future.
At Yale, Amalta contributed to delivering the Financing and Deploying Clean Energy Certificate program and held a teaching assistant position for Fossil Fuels and World Energy and Renewable Energy. For her master’s thesis, she led a pilot study in Maharashtra (India) to understand the potential of alternative fuels in houses reliant on traditional cookstoves.
