Alberto Andrade

Alberto is an Investment Consultant at Elemental Impact, a nonprofit investor focused on climate technologies with an emphasis on community impact. In this role, he specializes in project finance for catalytic investments that reduce greenhouse gas emissions in low-income and disadvantaged communities in the U.S.
During his time at Yale, Alberto worked with the Corporate Innovation team in the CEO Office at Avangrid, a utility and renewable energy development company that is part of the Iberdrola Group, as well as in Amazon’s Transportation Services division. He also served as a Teaching Fellow for several courses such as Renewable Energy Project Finance and Financing Green Technologies.
Prior to graduate school, Alberto worked at the American Flood Coalition, a nonpartisan NGO, where he researched and developed climate resilience policies to advance state-level action on flooding and sea-level rise mitigation. Before that, he was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, focusing on public sector, infrastructure, and banking projects across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Alberto holds a BA in Economics and Management from the University of Oxford. He is of Colombian and Puerto Rican descent and grew up in Bogotá, Colombia.
