Adam Barnard currently leads Mosaico Management's investment and impact research. Mosaico Management looks to invest at the intersection of human activity and natural capital. Through thoughtful fundamental researchand active portfolio and risk management, they seek to provide superior risk-adjusted returnsand quantifiable impact on society and the natural environment.
Adam graduated with a Masters in Advanced Management from the Yale School of Management in 2017. Prior to Yale, Adam worked in strategy across Africa for SABMiller after completing his MBA at the University of Cape Town in South Africa and a semester exchange at Kellogg School of Management in Chicago, where he focused on Impact Investing. Prior to his MBA, Adam worked in investment management in London for 7 years for UBS and Morgan Stanley. Adam is now looking to combine his passion for conservation and the environment with his expertise in finance and strategy.
Adam holds a MBA, BCom Honors in Finance and BCom in Economics, Politic and Philosophy, all from the University of Cape Town and enjoys, wildlife photography, the outdoors, and competing in marathons and Ironman races. Adam has travelled extensively, especially in Africa where he hitchhiked across the length from Cairo to Cape Town, and sailed down the entire east coast in a local sailing boat called a dhow pursuing various interests including conservation initiatives, ornithology and fly-fishing.
