Please join the Yale Center for Business and the Environment (CBEY) for the next webinar of the 2016-2017 season of Nature’s Returns: Investing in Ecosystem Services.

Allison White (Research Scientist, EcoHealth Alliance) and Dr. Yasha Feferholtz (Economist, EcoHealth Alliance) will discuss the One Health model that connects human, ecosystem, and wildlife health. The program will include a focus on the costs of disrupting ecosystem services and the economic model they’ve developed for analyzing the total welfare impacts of land use decisions (e.g. development vs. conservation). Using an illustrative case study from Malaysia, they will lead a conversation on the disease regulation benefits of intact forest ecosystems as well as how to prioritize conservation investments based on the generation of maximal social returns.

The free online event will last 45 minutes and is open to the public. Email invitations for following Nature's Returns webinars will be sent as the dates approach. Visit the CBEY website for up-to-date information regarding these and other events.
