New Approaches to Philanthropy: How Collaborative PRIs are Solving Water Challenges

Watch the full recording on YouTube here!

Please join the Yale Center for Business and the Environment (CBEY) for the first webinar of the 2016-2017 season of Nature’s Returns: Investing in Ecosystem Services.

Susannah Harris (MEM/MBA, '16 and Senior Consultant for Deloitte Consulting's Social Impact Practice) and Allison Khoe (MEM '17) will present key findings from their recent 2016 report on the need for capital in the water sector and how foundations can address water issues through program-related investments (PRIs) - a practice that is in its nascent stages. In incorporating PRIs into a foundation’s water-related strategy, opportunities exist to invest in water trading programs, product research and development, social enterprises, social impact bonds, and note programs. Jon M. Jensen, Executive Director of the Park Foundation, will explore recent investment trends among foundations focused on water issues, and how these will impact future directions for water-related PRIs.

The free online event will last 45 minutes and is open to the public. Email invitations for following Nature's Returns webinars will be sent as the dates approach. Visit the CBEY website for up-to-date information regarding these and other events.
