Yale Prizes Info Session

Yale has four $25,000 entrepreneurship prizes that share a single application. These prizes are designed to generate world-changing ideas from Yale students around health, education, environment, equality, sustainability and technology. This info session will cover all these opportunities together in one place, describe what they are and how to apply.

  • Thorne Prize for Social Innovation in Health or Education: This $25,000 cash prize is awarded by InnovateHealth Yale to the best student-led venture focused on social innovation in health or education.
  • Sabin Sustainable Venture Prize: The Sabin Prize, managed by the Yale Center for Business and the Environment, awards cash prizes totaling $25,000 to students and/or faculty with the best ideas for products, services, projects, or programs that advance a more sustainable way of life.
  • Miller Prize: The Miller Prize is a $25,000 entrepreneurship prize from the Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale for a student venture with a tech or tech-enabled service startup.
  • Aetna Foundation Prize for Health Equity Innovation: The Aetna Foundation Prize for Health Equity Innovation is a $25,000 cash prize awarded by InnovateHealth Yale with the support of the Aetna Foundation to the best student-led venture focused on developing a technology solution to address a health disparity challenge.


MENTORSHIP: Applicants are eligible to receive guidance on their applications from an experienced mentor. The deadline to apply for mentorship is Jan 31, 2018 at 11:59 PM. Apply here.

PRIZES: The application for Prizes will be available by early February and are due March 28, 2018 at 11:59pm.

Finalists will be announced April 10, 2018 and will pitch their ideas live at StartUp Yale April 16-20, 2018.
