Workers Rights & Ethical Production in Fashion

This series is produced in partnership with the Yale School of the Environment's Industrial Ecology & Green Chemistry Learning Community.

Join us for Workers' Rights & Ethical Production in Fashion, a powerful event examining the deep-rooted exploitation of garment workers and the urgent need for systemic change in the industry. Held in commemoration of the 12th anniversary of the Rana Plaza collapse—a tragedy that claimed over 1,100 lives and exposed the harsh realities of fast fashion—this panel brings together advocates and industry leaders dedicated to worker well-being.

Panelists will discuss critical issues, including fair wages, safe working conditions, and the ongoing fight for ethical production practices. Learn about current initiatives supporting garment workers globally, hear stories of resilience, and explore actionable solutions to create a more just and humane fashion industry.

This event is a call to honor the lives lost at Rana Plaza by championing the rights of those who make our clothes. Whether you’re a fashion professional, activist, or concerned consumer, join us to help shape a future where ethical production is the norm, not the exception.

Please join us for lunch! *We are committed to reducing waste at our event. Therefore, we ask that when you register, you commit to doing your best to attend.
