The New Energy-efficient and Cost-effective Multi-source Heat Pump System

Winter is coming. It is the perfect time to talk about HVAC systems and thermal technologies in cold weather. We are excited to welcome Dr. Yao Yu and Consultant Gaylord Olson to introduce their new multi-source heat pump (MSHP) technology. Considering and combining the benefits from both the highly efficient ground source heat pumps and cost-effective air source heat pumps, the MSHPs are assessed in a residential building under different climate conditions. In this webinar, Yu and Olson are going to highlight the basics of the new technology and its market potentials.

Panelists:

  • Yao Yu, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering, North Dakota State University
  • Gaylord Olson, Co-founder of Seasonal Storage Technologies Inc.

About the Renewable Thermal Alliance webinar series:

The Renewable Thermal Alliance (RTA), a public-private partnership initiated by NYSERDA, CT Green Bank, and Yale University, aims to develop the infrastructure for large-scale deployment of renewable thermal technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through energy savings and fuel shifting. Our webinar series highlights recipients of the 2020 RTA Seed Innovation Grants on policy, technology, and market developments in renewable heating and cooling.
