Planetary Innovators: Disaster Resilience
As climate disasters become more prevalent, innovation plays an important role in developing tools for adaptation.
Join CBEY and Tsai CITY for a Planetary Innovators Spotlight Panel on disaster resilience. We will feature two panelists looking at the topic through their work from different yet interconnected lenses:
- Andrea Sreshta, Co-founder, LuminAID: LuminAID develops innovative solar-powered products for disaster relief, humanitarian aid, and recreational use outdoors. The LuminAID light is a solar-rechargeable, inflatable lamp that packs flat and inflates to create a lightweight, waterproof lantern.
- Franziska Trautmann, Co-founder, Glass Half Full Nola: Glass Half Full works to fill a gap in New Orleans' recycling program by collecting the city's glass and transforming it into sand and cullet for disaster relief and prevention, coastal restoration, eco-construction.
