Please join the Yale Center for Business and the Environment (CBEY) for the 2015-2016 season of "Nature’s Returns: Investing in Ecosystem Services." Zachary Knight – Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Blue Forest Conservation (BFC) – will present a session titled: Paying for Success: Financing Forest Restoration in the West.

In this webinar, Knight will showcase the Forest Resilience Bond, an innovative financial vehicle that invests in forest health to alleviate drought and wildfire. By applying a pay-for-success model to forest restoration, upfront costs are shifted to private investors with beneficiaries such as the US Forest Service and utilities repaying investors based on the success of the treatments.  The Forest Resilience Bond aims to create positive environmental and social impact – through reduced wildfires, improved water resource management, and job creation – while generating competitive financial returns

The free online event will last one hour and is open to the public.
