Helix House: A Celebration of New Haven’s Resale Community and the Launch of Helix
Join us for the launch of Helix, a new venture co-founded by Yale School of the Environment MEM ’26 student Maya Caine, and a celebration of New Haven’s vibrant resale community.
Helix House is both an activation and a gathering point—bringing together local resellers, makers, menders, and community members to mark the beginning of a new kind of fashion system rooted in care, connection, and longevity. The event will showcase the first cohort of New Haven-based sellers on Helix and highlight the rich ecosystem of pre-owned clothing already circulating across the city.
The evening will feature a curated flea market of New Haven’s best vintage and secondhand clothing, alongside interactive experiences including an upcycling workshop, a repair café, and a series of flash talks from local practitioners. These talks will explore what it means to build a life-affirming fashion system and how we can collectively steward clothing across its many lives.
About Helix
Helix is a resale marketplace that turns clothing into living archives. Through the platform, users can buy, sell, rent, and repair garments locally—uniting resale, garment care, and storytelling in one place. Helix introduces an infinite commission model, allowing original sellers to continue earning as their garments circulate over time. Learn more at helixcommons.com
