Catalyzing Finance Through Conservation Trust Funds: Trends and Lessons for the Future

Watch the full recording on YouTube here!

Conservation Trust Funds (CTFs) are private, legally independent institutions that provide sustainable grant funding for conservation, usually in countries with developing economies where national budgets are not adequate to meet the funding needs of protected areas and biodiversity conservation. Katy Mathias (SOM ‘98) from the Wildlife Conservation Society will discuss ways that CTFs use capital markets and innovative financing mechiansms to catalyze funding for conservation. She will also share findings from the Conservation Trust Investment Survey, an annual report by WCS and the Conservation Finance Alliance that analyzes the investment management policies, practices and results of CTFs around the world.
