Admissions

All of the information you need to prepare your application is on this page. Please see below for links to the application portal, admissions events, and the application readiness checklist which provides you with guidance on what is required and tips for a successful application. 

Application Process

Sign up for a free Yale Online GLASS account in order to access, complete and submit your application.
Sign up for an account with the Yale Online G.L.A.S.S. platform to open, complete and submit your application by the deadline.

All application materials must be submitted through the Yale Online G.L.A.S.S. electronic application form. You will be required to create an account prior to starting your application. For technical assistance, please refer to their Help page, or contactonlineprograms@yale.edu.

Deadlines:

  • Complete applications submitted before the application deadline are guaranteed review by the Admissions Committee.
  • Only complete applications submitted before the priority deadline are eligible for tuition discounts.
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered — apply early to avoid missing out!

     

Note: Before you apply, please review the curriculum, technical requirements, and the program calendars, to ensure you are able to complete the program and attend the required events.

All application materials must be submitted through the Yale Online G.L.A.S.S. electronic application form. This link will be accessible above on this page once applications are open in August. Please do not email or mail any material to Yale, YSE Admissions, CBEY or YCEJ.   

Required  

  • Completed application, including short answers (~300 words each) to essay prompts, submitted online via Yale G.L.A.S.S. platform by the stated deadline. Please refer to the application readiness checklist

  •  Resume or CV

Optional  

  • A four-year bachelor's degree in any subject from (a) an accredited U.S. college or university or (b) an international equivalent or (c) professional experience equivalent is highly recommended. Transcripts are not required, but the application will require educational history information

  • Letter of recommendation from a professional or academic supervisor. A professional reference and additional essay are required by the stated deadline to be considered for a tuition discount

Important Note About Letters of Recommendation: You must provide the contact information of one professional or academic reference who can speak to your experience, skills, and qualifications. Your reference should be someone who has supervised or worked with you in a professional or academic capacity; family members, friends, or self-references are not accepted. Once you submit your recommender’s details, the system will send them an email with instructions to submit a letter of recommendation. We encourage you to discuss the request with your recommender in advance and submit the request early to allow sufficient time for completion. Your recommendation letter must be received by the application deadline for your application to be considered complete.

Note:  There is no application fee, but your first tuition payment is required by the enrollment deadline to secure a spot in the program should you be admitted.

Our application is designed to help us get to know you as an individual, your goals, and what motivates you. With this framework in mind, we require that your application submission be your own. You are not allowed to copy and paste content into the application that you did not create.
