Ramon Olivas
Ramon has over fifteen years of experience in the energy sector, collaborating for diverse public institutions and private companies such as national government entities, financial initiatives and infrastructure developers. At DAI, he currently leads the Mexico Energy Programme for the Prosperity Fund of the United Kingdom. Previously, at the Mexican Energy Ministry he served as Chief of Staff for the Undersecretary of Electricity and as General Director for Strategic Projects at the Undersecretariat for Hydrocarbons. At the private equity firm Emerging Energy & Environment LLC, he executed the social and environmental strategy for two energy efficiency and renewable energy infrastructure funds with over $75 million in capital.
Holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad de las Americas, Puebla, an MBA & Master’s in Environmental Management from Yale University and is an specialist in Natural Resources Governance from the Blavatnik School of Government of Oxford University.
