Olivia Sanchez Badini is pursuing a joint Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. She is interested in ecohealth (the connection between human health and nature) and ecosystem service valuation in urban environments. Her most recent work experience was with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in Korea, where she carried out corporate engagement projects in the area of climate and energy. Other past work includes research on enabling environments for small and medium forest enterprises in the context of REDD+ forest financing schemes, and participation in civil society involvement at the United Nations Forum on Forests.
At CBEY, Olivia is part of the Conservation Finance Network, working on Nature’s Returns: Investing in Ecosystem Services webinar series. She is also a Communications Fellow at the Yale Institute for Biospheric Studies. Olivia is originally from Mexico City. She graduated with honours from the University of British Columbia, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources Conservation. She is an active member of the International Forestry Students' Association.
