Nikola works at the intersection of equitable community and economic development, environmental infrastructure finance, and entrepreneurship models with social and environmental objectives. He is particularly interested in how responding to global and local environmental needs can create opportunities for racial equity and equitable wealth building in the United States. Nikola was a lead co-author on the 2016 Environmental Performance Index, holds multiple leadership positions within both of his schools, and is an avid justice and community worker. He is currently the coordinator for the Bright Lights, Green Sights speaker series on diverse voices in social and environmental entrepreneurship. Nikola holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Vassar College and formerly worked at the Presidio of San Francisco developing climate action strategies.
