Milagros De Camps

Milagros De Camps graduated with a Masters of Environmental Management from Yale FES in 2017. She is now the Minister of Environment and Natural Resources for the Dominican Republic and was formerly a Legal Consultant at the Green Climate Fund in South Korea. She spent the 2017-2018 year as a Yale Fox Fellow at the National University of Singapore.

A Fulbright scholar from the Dominican Republic, she holds a J.D. from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra and an LL.M. with a focus in International Business from Boston University. At Yale, she served as co-leader of the Yale Environmental Law Association. She is passionate about energy, sustainability and public policy. Prior to her arrival at Yale, Milagros spent six years working as a lawyer offering legal advice to local and foreign investors in corporate and energy issues and working in the development of several renewable energy projects (wind, solar, biomass). Milagros is the co-founder and Policy Director of the Dominican Business Council for Sustainable Development, a non-profit organization focused on harnessing the power of the business sector to promote corporate sustainability, and Professor of Law at her Alma Mater. Over the summer of 2016, Milagros was an EDF Climate Corps Fellow working on creating an energy and sustainability strategy for Univision Communications, Inc. At F&ES, Milagros focused her studies and research on energy and environmental policy.
