Jessica Geoffroy

 

Jessica Geoffroy oversees the financial strategy and investment structuring of NextEra Energy Investments (NEI), the early-stage equity investment arm of NextEra Energy.  In her current role, Jessica and her team are focused on developing, structuring and executing transactions designed to create incremental value across NEI’s venture capital, social impact, strategic and ecosystem strategies as it works to deploy capital at scale and generate attractive risk-adjusted financial returns.

Jessica came to NextEra Energy in 2018 with nearly a decade of experience in various roles on Wall Street, including as a founding member of clean energy private equity and debt funds—including the New York Green Bank—with nearly $2 billion of assets under management. From 2020 to 2023, Jessica served as the head of investor relations for both NextEra Energy and NextEra Energy Partners, with responsibility for all financial communications of the companies’ financial and operational performance and business outlook with the investment community. Prior to this role, Jessica led NextEra Energy Partners’ finance team, with responsibility for all corporate and asset-level financings, transaction structuring, and capital raising activities for NextEra Energy Partners. During her time at NextEra Energy Partners, she managed the strategic development and execution of nearly $7 billion in financings.

Jessica also served in the Office of the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Energy, where she helped develop finance and securitization policies to support growth in clean technology adoption. Jessica holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Columbia University and two master’s degrees, one in energy & the environment and the other in business administration, from Yale University. She currently lives in West Palm Beach with her husband and two stepsons and is an active participant in her community, including as a Member of the Board of Directors for the United Way of Palm Beach County.
