Jennifer Milikowsky

Jennifer is the founder of Walden Hill, a sustainable food company focused on forest based food products. She graduated from the Yale School of Management with an MBA and the Yale School of Forestry with a Master of Forestry in 2015. At Yale, she founded Bascom Hill Forest and Farm - an agroforestry company that blurs the line between forest and farm to bring consumers high-end, sustianable food products. Prior to joining Yale, she worked as a Field Scientist for the Nature Conservancy in Florida and then as a Research Assistant for the Maui Forest Bird Recovery Project in Hawaii. In these positions, she focused on wildlife conservation, specifically the recovery and management of imperiled species. Additionally she has experience with wetland mitigation, habitat monitoring, upland restoration and served as a wildland firefighter.

Jennifer graduated with honors and distinction as a Morehead-Cain Scholar from the University of North Carolina with a B.S. in Biology and a second major in History. As a New Haven native she is excited to be back in her hometown and to have the opportunity to work with the local community once again. She is an avid skier and biker and hopes to one day hike the entire Appalachian Trail.
