Bethany is a Senior Consultant in VEIC’s Transportation Efficiency Division. Since joining VEIC, Bethany is applying her skills and experience to the transportation efficiency sector leading projects designed to encourage new transportation technologies through demonstration projects and innovative financing strategies. She is currently leading VEIC’s efforts to evaluate the potential of using energy services company models to accelerate adoption of heavy duty electric vehicles, including transit buses. She is also managing a demonstration project guiding deployment of electric school buses in Massachusetts.

Prior to coming to VEIC, Bethany was a Principal Consultant with Nelsonygaard Consulting Associates where she helped lead and manage the firm’s transit practice. In this capacity, Bethany managed large transit studies, including transit service plans, transit agency funding and financing plans, capital plans and transit service feasibility assessments. Her clients included the State of Ohio, Chapel Hill Transit, Rock Region Metro (Little Rock, AK), the Memphis Area Transit Authority and Connecticut Transit.  Bethany has a B.A. in History and Asian Studies from Tufts University and a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Washington.
