Allison White

As an EcoHealth Alliance Research Scientist and member of the modeling team, Allison White focuses on using spatial analysis and other statistical techniques to examine the emergence of infectious diseases and on communicating scientific evidence to communities and stakeholders.

Currently, Allison is working on analysis and communications activities as part of IDDEAL and examining spatial and temporal risk factors for infectious disease in dogs and cattle in the Americas. She is also involved in projects related to antimicrobial resistance and to wildlife trade into the US.

Allison received her undergraduate degree in Public Health Studies from Johns Hopkins University. She spent three years in Botswana as Peace Corps Volunteer focusing on improving HIV&AIDS programming and services at a rural clinic and district offices.

In 2014, Allison completed her Masters of Public Health in Global Epidemiology and Certificate in Humanitarian Emergencies at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University.
