SUMMARY:Reinventing the Automobile: Towards Zero-Emission Mobility with Nissan and the Alliance
DESCRIPTION:<p><img style="float: left; margin: 5px;" src="http://cbey.research.yale.edu/uploads/images/Ghosn.png" alt="" width="250" height="160" />Carlos Ghosn is the chairman and chief executive officer of Renault S.A. and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., two global automotive companies with a combined work force of more than 350,000 employees and global sales of 7.2 million units in 2010. He serves as chairman of the Renault-Nissan Alliance Board, which steers the Alliance’s medium- and long-term strategy, including the current objective for the Alliance to become the leader of zero-emission mobility.</p>\n<p>Among many international accolades, Mr. Ghosn was listed first among the 2001 “25 Most Influential Global Business Executives” by TIME and CNN, was ranked among the “World’s Most Respected Leaders” by Financial Times magazine in 2003 and 2004, received a 2005 International Academy of Management Award, was named the CNBC European “Business Leader of the Year 2006” and was inducted into the Japan and U.S. Automotive Halls of Fame.  He received the INSEAD 2008 Transcultural Leadership Award and the 2009 Benjamin Franklin Award from the French-American Foundation.  He was received into the Legion D’Honneur in France, accepted a Medal of Blue Ribbon from the Emperor of Japan, received the Ordem de Rio Branco from Brazil and was named a Knight Commander of the British Empire. In November 2010, Forbes.com listed Carlos Ghosn as one of the "Seven Most Powerful South Americans".</p>\n<p>Mr. Ghosn co-stars in the newly released Revenge of the Electric Car that looks at the global resurgence of the electric car.
