Kroon Hall, Room 321

The Yale community is invited to join the Yale Center for Business and the Environment (CBEY) for a rountable discussion with entrepreneur Austin Holsinger. Austin is Founder and CEO of Great Lakes Proud, a sustainability branding company using stickers to promote conservation of the Great Lakes region. He will be discussing his experiences starting Great Lakes Proud and other sustainability focused companies.

Between its 15% “give back” campaign and 1% For The Planet membership, Great Lakes Proud has donated nearly $100,000 in cash and in-kind donations to support Great Lakes education, protection, and preservation to date.

Building on Great Lakes Proud’s success, Austin has branched out, starting subsequent “state loving” brands throughout the country, each dedicated to the same mission.

Most recently, Austin and a partner have set out to change the coffee sleeve industry. Their company, Sleeveless Coffee Sleeves, has developed an innovative new design that reduces waste, providing a superior product to consumers and pushing the industry to be more sustainable. Their idea has already captured the attention of investors and major players in the coffee, food & beverage, and restaurant industries.
