New Ways of Working

Buildings and Behavior

Dr. Judith Heerwagen and Kevin Kampschroer will discuss how new ways of working are radically changing the nature of workspace, the technologies and tools needed to carry out work, and the environmental conditions necessary for health, productivity, and organizational effectiveness. The talk will also address the transactional nature of the human-building interface: that is, how workplace conditions affect human behavior and how human behavior in turn influences building energy performance as well as the energy implications of how and where work occurs.
