Marketing, Sourcing and Transparency at Scale in the New Food Movement

Featuring Mark Crumpacker, Chief Marketing Officer, Chipotle Mexican Grill

Moderated by Mark Bomford, Director, Yale Sustainable Food Project

For most fast food companies, the less the consumer knows, the better. However, Chipotle Mexican Grill isn’t most companies: it wants you to know what’s in your burrito. Learn about Chipotle’s sustainability initiatives as well as their unorthodox marketing campaigns built on the idea that our food production should be healthier and more ethical.

Please join Mark Crumpacker, Chief Marketing Officer of Chipotle, as he explains how Chipotle’s commitment to its “Food with Integrity” mission is driving forward a new way of thinking about sustainability initiatives within the fast food industry. Mr. Crumpacker will also discuss how consumer preferences and Chipotle’s status as a public company both play a role in shaping Chipotle’s sustainability initiatives and its approach to marketing and advertising.

This event is part of the GE Colloquium in Sustainability Leadership, a speaker series focused on sustainability careers in the corporate sector, which is sponsored by the GE Foundation.
