Please join us for a talk with Tom Bregman and Mark Thielking as they discuss their work with the Bedford-Northern Westchester Energy Action Consortium (NWEAC) Retrofit Program. Tom and Mark will talk about methods of community engagement and finance innovation. They will explore important topics such as barriers to scaling demand, replicability and expanding scope, strategies for linking to trusted sources in the community, and the challenges of securing innovative finance options in the absence of PACE.



Thomas Bregman is Director of the Energize Northern Westchester and the Energize Bedford programs. He has been with the Department of Energy home energy efficiency program since its inception in the summer of 2010. He comes to the Energize Program with over two decades of management, environmental advocacy, campaign, online services, and corporate marketing experience. He holds a BA in International Relations from SUNY Stony Brook and is currently pursuing an executive MBA at Antioch New England Graduate Center.

Mark Thielking is the Director of Energy Resources for the Town of Bedford, NY where he is responsible for identifying problems and crafting solutions relating to the community’s use of fossil based energy. Mark most recently worked as a Managing Director within the UBS Investment Bank’s Environmental Advisory Group (EAG). Prior to joining UBS he managed the US Dollar GSE callable trading effort at Paine Webber Inc. He is a graduate of Boston University with a BA degree in Economics.
